The preparation for this recording was weeks in itself as the boys did not want their magnum opus to sound like a tossed off jam. Sighting Yes, Ad Visser and Gentle Giant as the record's main influence, they wanted it to be filled with detail and movements that the listener could get lost in time and time again. A confounding work of labor and love to be enjoyed for generations. The great engineer, Patris Calvos said of the sessions, "The energy was so ecstatic in the studio during the main take the boys would be jumping around the room feeling every sound and dancing around so much."
